Product Description

Product application:
UV accelerated Weathering chamber simulates damaging effects of long term outdoor exposure of materials and coatings by exposing test samples to varying conditions of the most aggressive components of weathering - ultraviolet radiation, moisture and heat. A QUV weathering chamber uses fluorescent lamps to provide a radiation spectrum centered in the ultraviolet wavelengths. Moisture is provided by forced condensation, and temperature is controlled by heaters.

More details:
1. Irradiation intensity: 0.55 W/m2 / nm
2. Sprinkler system: spray time 18MIN, stop time 108MIN can be adjusted. (automatically add water)
3. Liner material: SUS304 stainless steel plate
Housing material: SUS201 stainless steel plate or baking finish
4. Imported UV lamp: UVA-340 UV lamp, 8 in the second row, 40W/only (12 in total)
5. Water source and consumption: clean water or distilled water 8 liters / day (customer-supplied)
6. Control system: touch screen and PLC controller
7. Main components: Omron and Phillips
8. The structure of the test chamber is made of corrosion-resistant metal material, including 8 fluorescent UV lamps, water tray, test sample holder and temperature, time control system and indicator.
9. The lamp power is 40W and the length of the lamp is 1200mm. The uniform working area of the test chamber is 900×210 mm.
10. The test sample is fixedly mounted 50 mm from the nearest parallel surface of the lamp surface. The test sample and its support form the inner wall of the box. The back side of the test sample is exposed to the cooling air at room temperature due to the temperature difference between the test sample and the air inside the box. . The condensation phase of the surface of the test sample is allowed to produce stable condensation conditions, and the test chamber should generate natural air convection from the bottom through the outer wall of the tank and the passage of the test sample.
11. The temperature of the test chamber is measured by a sensor fixed on a black aluminum plate (blackboard) with a width of 75 mm, a height of 100 mm, and a thickness of 2.5 mm. The blackboard should be placed in the center of the exposure test. The measurement range of the thermometer is 30~. At 80 ° C, the tolerance is ± 1 ° C. The control of the illumination and condensation phases should be carried out separately, and the condensation phase is controlled by the temperature of the heated water.
12. The test chamber should be placed in a test chamber at a temperature of 15 to 35 ° C, 300 mm from the wall, and should be protected from other heat sources. The air in the test chamber should not be circulated strongly to avoid affecting the lighting and condensation conditions.
13. Test sample fixing device on the test frame, facing the fluorescent lamp When the sample is not filled with the sample holder, the sample holder needs to be filled with a blackboard to keep the inner wall of the test box closed.
14. Test temperature. Three temperatures of 50, 60, and 70 ° C can be used for illumination, and 60 ° C is preferred; the temperature of the condensation phase is 50 ° C, and the tolerance of temperature is ± 2 ° C.
15. The period of each condensation of light can be selected from 4H illumination, 4H condensation or 8H illumination, and 4H condensation.
16. After the first illumination of 400~450H, each row of lamps needs to be replaced with a fluorescent lamp. The other lamps compensate for the loss caused by the aging of the lamp according to the lamp circulation and replacement. This mode of operation ensures that the life of each lamp is between 1600 and 1800H.
17. When replacing the lamp, wipe the water tray and clean it to avoid scale formation.
18. Appearance evaluation: The coating is mainly evaluated for appearance. Plastics and rubber can also be evaluated for appearance if necessary. The items to be inspected are mainly gloss, color change, chalking, spots, blistering, cracks and dimensional stability. Equipment should be used for quantitative project testing, such as gloss and color difference meter.
19. Evaluation of mechanics and other properties: general rubber materials are subjected to tensile strength, elongation, hardness measurement, plastic measurement impact strength, elongation at break, tensile strength, flexural strength, and other performance test items may be specified if necessary.
